Welcome to our home on the World Wide Web.  Athens Police Department consists of 43 sworn officers, 10 civilian employees, and 8 temporary employees.  We service a population of approximately 20,000 people in the City of Athens.  The City of Athens consists of an area of 33.5 square miles.  We are currently involved in Triad, Neighborhood Watch associations, Citizen's Police Academy, Police Reserves, and we operate a substation at Higgins Court.  We hope you find the information here useful.  If I or my staff may be of assistance to you please contact us.
